Almost black under most lighting, but the deep red shows under bright lights or sun light, I love to use the very dark gem in pieces for a nice black contrast, but the dark colours add that little extra when viewed in bright lights and the rick colour shines! For an almost Black gem, this pretty is still has minimal inclusions and you need a 10x magnifier to see them.
